Agentic Creativity (Sundays at 2PM ET Starts August 16) | BustBright - Machine Learning Art
"Agent." One of the most loaded words in all of technology right now. But what does an agent offer artists? In this course we'll explore how an agent can assist—or become—an artist. We'll start with basic tasks to free up an artist to do the work they prefer to spend time on. Then we will evolve our agent to become its own artist, steered by your direction but allowed its own freedom to learn, develop, and explore. No prior experience with coding or agents is required. This class will require a subscription to at least once LLM service (OpenAI, OpenRouter, Nous Portal, etc). There may be additional costs for services connected to your agent. Both of these will be explained further in class. This class is best suited for digital artists who are interested in exploring the world of agentic creation. Skeptics are encouraged! Potential schedule and syllabus (TBD):Week 1 (August 16): Intro to Agentic Creativity; Installing Hermes AgentWeek 2 (August 23): Free your mind (non-artistic uses of agents)Week 3 (August 30): Skills & MCPsSeptember 6: No ClassWeek 4 (September 13): Long Running and Evolving AgentsWeek 5 (September 20): An intro to Agentic CodingWeek 5 (September 27): Show & TellCourse StructureThis class will be taught live over Zoom from 2pm—4:30PM ET every Sunday (excluding September 6). Recordings and additional documentation will be provided after each session.About the instructorDerrick Schultz is a designer, filmmaker and artist working with machine learning.
